Manchester at MIPIM

Activity

THE MANCHESTER STAND

The Manchester Stand has one of the most sought-after locations within the Palais des Festivals. It overlooks the main entrance and provides the perfect location to network and catch up on the day's activity.

The exhibition space is dedicated to the promotion of Manchester and the partnership. It incorporates a bar and offers complimentary internet access. From the terrace, the stand offers wonderful views of the Croisette and an exclusive space in which to hold business meetings and make new contacts.

Twice-daily presentations by keynote speakers focus on specific elements of the City's property scene and are followed by an informal drinks reception in the afternoon.

These events attract a high number of delegates to the stand and provide fantastic opportunities to network with the Manchester Partnership as well as hear about the future plans for Manchester.

THE MANCHESTER BAR

The Manchester Bar has become the place to entertain your clients and make new ones away from the hustle and bustle of the Palais. Located just a short walk from the Manchester Stand, the bar provides complimentary drinks to Manchester delegates and their guests.

Informal meetings can take place in a relaxed atmosphere with an added sense of exclusivity away from the MIPIM crowds. The bar is WiFi enabled and the partnership gain more branding in this location.

The Manchester Bar is open from Tuesday 8 March to Thursday 10 March 8am til late…exclusively to Manchester delegates until 7pm.

Building on the success of the Four Cities event undertaken during the two previous years, an additional city - Lyon - has joined Amsterdam, Barcelona, Hamburg and Manchester to debate the issues that the five cities face in developing investment frameworks that will allow continued economic development. Jim O'Neill, chairman of Goldman Sachs Asset Management and creator of the acronym BRICS, will once again provide the key note speech, setting the global context for an interactive event that will engage all members of the audience through touch pad technology. This will be an unmissable event that is set to become a highlight of the week.

Manchester.. What if?
Mocca Bar + Restaurant, invitation only
Wednesday 7th March
22.30 - 23.30

Following the spirited Manchester Pechakucha event in 2011, the Manchester at MIPIM partnership will again be asking some of its partners to present their ideas for the future of Manchester. What if we were to take an idea from elsewhere in the world, develop it within a Manchester context and deliver it within the city's communities? Or what if we could harness the creativity of our young people to apply a different approach to an age old issue. Presenters have been given free reign to interpret the topic and provoke discussion. A panel of judges will give their thoughts on each presentation and select the best one for further exploration
